5-27-2020 Visitor Restrictions - COVID
UPDATE
May 27, 2020
Current Guidance from MDH, CDC, Care Providers:
• The greatest COVID-19 risk comes from the movement of persons into and out of your facility. Anyone who leaves and then returns to your facility can potentially bring COVID-19 into your facility.
• As senior care settings continue to be a “hot spot” for outbreaks of COVID-19, we must take all appropriate steps to ensure that our residents and staff are safe from the transmission of this virus. Until we receive further clarification from CMS and MDH, visitor restrictions remain in place as we work on plans to re-open our setting and warmly welcome you back.
• We value the connection between residents and families and ask for patience as we work with the state officials to establish ways to secure safe visits in the future that protect our residents and staff and limit the potential transmission of this virus to our broader community.
• Until we receive any notice to the contrary, limitations for resident transports out of the facility remain in place, including the recommendation that if a resident leaves the facility to stay with a friend/family member, exposures to persons with COVID19 cannot be ruled out. Upon the resident’s return, the resident must be quarantined in a private room with a private (not shared) bathroom.
UPDATE ON COVID: At this time our residents and staff are healthy, we currently do not have any active COVID-19 cases in our facility.
