Pioneer Memorial Care Center Foundation
The Pioneer Memorial Care Center Foundation was organized in 1989. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote; foster and aid in the advancement of religion; religious institutions, organizations and foundations; charity, charitable institutions and organizations; literary or educational institutions, organizations and foundations; and to aid, assist and contribute to corporations, community chests, funds or foundations created or organized in the United States of America.
Pioneer Memorial Care Center and Pioneer Memorial Care Center Foundation have a membership of approximately 28 area churches. Through the use of its own resources, donations and gifts, the Foundation will assure the continuation of the ministry for the elderly and disabled.
Among the activities the Foundation has sponsored are training to benefit the professional nursing staff, Nursing Assisted Registered classroom training and Trained Medication Assistant classroom training. A strong scholarship program was established to encourage and assist our employees to further their education in the healthcare field. Equipment has been purchased to enhance the quality of care to our residents including items such as whirlpool tubs, lift chairs and specialized beds. A new 15-passenger bus was recently purchased with donations. It will allow more of our residents to enjoy outings they could not attend before.
Anyone wanting information regarding how to go about making a gift, contribution or donation to the Foundation should contact Pioneer Memorial Care Center at (218) 687-2365 or email pmcc@gvtel.com.
